Futility, Illustrated

Cano and Granderson came to play, and Jeter's, well, Jeter, which in a down year isn't exactly good news for the Yankees. The rest, though, need to step it up if the team is going to get even a puncher's chance of making it back to the World Series. Even if the Bombers beat up Colby Lewis tonight, Cliff Lee looms large in Game 7, an intimidating presence.

I'm afraid the Yankees will fall short in the end. Lee beats them twice, Lewis once and Girardi once, too.
