Think about it. Current Browns coach Romeo Crennel is reportedly on the hot seat, and Weis is, arguably, best suited to work out the kinks in Crennel's system, because he and Crennel both learned their craft in New England, at the feet of Bill Belichick. Also, in their current positions, both Weis and Crennel run basic variations on Belichick's offensive and defensive schemes.
Weis, then, could step right in and help Cleveland, which is in the bottom third of the National Football League in almost every offensive category-- even with a surplus of offensive weapons- put up some much-needed points, particularly with Brady Quinn, who gave Weis his best season at Notre Dame, under center.
