Peanuts 2.0

I've always had a soft spot for Charles Schulz. That his series was actually a thinly veiled retelling of his own personal demons, only makes the strip, in my estimation, that much more endearing. Imagine my excitement then when I read this morning about 20 new webisodes starring Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang.

Made with Flash animation, the 3- to 4- minute videos, which were produced by Warner Bros.' Motion Comics, are taken directly from old comic strips and feature new voices for each character. Fans can purchase two bundled episodes on iTunes for 99 cents each, or the full season for $7.99.

As Jake Coyle points out in his article, the first episode, entitled, "You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown," features this killer line from Linus uttered in defense of his unwavering belief in the Great Pumpkin: "In my administration, children will be children and adults will be adults."

Amen to that.
